The Spirit River Municipal Library, along with the Town of Spirit River and Friends of Spirit River Library Society are very excited to bring movie events to residents of Spirit River and the surrounding areas.
We have chosen different days throughout the months to offer all genres of movies. They will be held at different times so that everyone has a chance to attend. Some movies will be pre-selected by our committee, while for a few special occasions we will have a “vote” for the public to decide. For voting, we will have paper ballots at previous movies and at the library as well as an online survey to fill out.
If you choose to have your child or children attend one of the non-children’s events, please be aware we will be following the ratings for the movies. To make this an enjoyable experience, we will not tolerate anyone running around and disturbing others during the movie, you will be asked to leave.
Children’s Movies – We are offering movies geared for children on days when there is no school. We will have popcorn and juice or water available for a small fee. You are welcome to bring pillows and blankets for your child to use. Children 6 and under will need an adult or caregiver with them who needs to be 13 years or older.
Lunch & a Movie – We will be offering a Saturday afternoon movie. A homemade lunch will be available by donation.
Evening Movies – We will be offering evening movies. We will have popcorn and drinks available for a small fee. You are welcome to bring your own chairs, pillows and blankets.
